We used to hang around the street all the time. The older Takkoush brother used to ask us to move on and stop loitering there. Who asked them to put up buildings in the fields were we used to play? Seriously! Anyway, we would comeback after he went inside and his brother Khaled would join us. heh heh.

There was a Ferrari dealer on the ground floor of the Druze Temple. Many little Red and Yellow ferraris made me late getting home most of the weekdays.

Italian School for boys And Intergaz service station. Played there a lot and worked at the station many nights. I hated that place. My dada ran the thing and I was prisoner there most weekends nd nights. I remember Eiza, the Italian girl who used to live around the block. The most beautiful green eyes ever. I actually had a crush on her and in my mid forties I got erngaged to a girl and I eventually recalled that she reminded me of her (Thus the attraction), but this one had blue eyes. Hey, finally a building I recognize and I was in it many times. I used to visit my childhood freind Abdulrahman D all the time. He had a brother called Suhail and another older brother who was my favorite teacher, nut now I forgot his name. Yesterday when I was young. :-). Those were the days....

Snoubra (Pine Tree). A Huge Huge tree that covered a wide space in that area, so the neighborhood was called after the tree. It must have covered an area of 100X100 feet at least. Under the Canopy, Watermelon imported from ewgypt used to be sold there during the season. Haj Abdallah Al-itani used to have a store across the street. Next to him, two Itani brothers had a grocery story and a dairy store.

Great place for diving. There are twin caves there. One is a dead end and the other has an outlet to the Twin Rocks.
